The real-life Porsche 993 GT2 was built as a homologation to allow Porsche to enter the GT racing class. It was produced in extremely low numbers of less than 200 between 1995 and 1998, resulting in the rarity and hence, the high price.
This mail-in edition of the Hot Wheels Porsche 993 GT2, which was based on 2013’s Jun Imai design, is dressed in Spectraflame rubine red and decorated with a purple stripe on the hood and roof with black “1” in a white circle on the hood, Hot Wheels logo in black and white, black “1” in a white circle, and purple stripe on sides before finishing off with authentic Porsche logos.
It has a ZAMAC body type with a ZAMAC-plated base, clear window, a black interior, and rolls on Real Racers stock car wheels with red stripe tampo. This highly collectible edition will ship on an illustrated blister card in a Kar Keepers clamshell case.
