How Germs Spread and Why Wash Your Hands

With the on-going pandemic, we couldn’t stress more enough about personal hygiene and the basic of all personal hygiene is the obvious: wash your hands. And also, not touching your face, which is easier said than done.

So why should you wash your hands for at least 20 seconds? Germs are nasty and our hands are the perfect form of transportation for them to infiltrate our body. As Mark Rober puts it perfectly, our eyes, nose and mouth are like the fatal exhaust vent of Death Star. That’s nerd speaks. Never mind if you don’t get it.

How Germs Spread and Why Wash Your Hands

Speaking of Mark, he has made a video How To See Germs Spread (Coronavirus) which perfectly demonstrate how virus can spread easily with the help of humans.

It is also a video that explains why we should wash our hands for 20 seconds and indirectly explains why social distancing may help in flattening the curve, and why hand shakes are bad. Go ahead and watch the experiment unfold.

Before you go… please spread the message and for the love of god, stop coughing and sneezing without covering up. Please. We are all in this together and if everyone play the part to be responsible, we can get this under control.
