Hidden Video Games in Internet Browsers

Do you know, Easter egg exists in some popular web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge? Well, they do. In the aforementioned web browsers, there exists a hidden game which can play to kill time even when the Internet is down.

Chrome has a-la Super Mario side-scrolling game called Dino where you make Dino jump over cactuses and sometimes, birds flying toward it at different altitude.

Edge has obstacles top-down game called Surf where you control a person surfing down screen while avoiding obstacles like sunken boat, whirlpool, other surfers and whatnot.

Finally, Firefox has Unicorn Pong. That’s right. A game of Pong, but instead of a pixelated ping-pong ball, its a unicorn.

Sounds like fun? Well, if so, here’s how you can access the game of the respective web browsers:

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome browser
  2. In the address bar, enter this URL: chrome://dino
  3. Hit Enter and you are all set

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge browser
  2. In the address bar, enter this URL: edge://surf
  3. Hit Enter and you are all set

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox browser
  2. Click on the hamburger menu
  3. Scroll down to ‘Customize Toolbar…’
  4. On the ‘Customize Toolbar’ page, drag every option to the ‘Overflow Menu’ on the right, leaving only ‘Flexible Space’
  5. Once you do that, you will see a button with an image of unicorn next to a series of buttons
  6. Press the Unicorn button to commence the game
