with the market flooded with myriad of LCD displays, it is not easy for manufacturers to make their products stand out. perhaps going slimmer and bearing higher specs at a reasonable price point are the way to go. this latest offering from HP, dubbed the Elite L2201x is looking pretty good both in terms of specs and form factor.

this 21.5-inch LED backlit display measures just 10 millimeters thick and boost a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution (16:9) with 5,000:1 contrast ratio might just help it to stand out from the sea of offerings out in the market. if not, perhaps the finger-print magnet piano black finish might of some help in enticing consumers. in an effort to simplify things, connectivity is restricted to just a single display port with HDCP support. the monitor also features an easy flip out adjustable title stand. the overall design makes look almost like an all-in-one PC.

other specs include MVA panel, a brightness of 250 nits and 16 ms response rate. strangely, there are no integrated built-in speakers for this unit. the HP Elite L2201x is slated to be available this June and has a retail price around $250.
