Where most G-Shock collab watches are mostly light cosmetic tweaks, the HUF x G-Shock 20th Anniversary GA-2100 Watch goes all the way out to show it is not an ordinary collaboration model. The HUF cobranded GA2100HUF-5A boasts several striking features befitting its status as a 20th-anniversary celebratory timepiece.
The HUF x G-Shock 20th Anniversary GA-2100 Watch has a matte skeleton bezel with a contrasting green and orange dial, both are colors of HUF. We love how the green color is extended to the LCD display. Completing the stylish dial is a subtle HUF typeface against a white background.
The watch is made of carbon-reinforced resin, paired with a comfortable earth tone cloth wristband as an outdoor-inspired spin on G-Shock’s popular octagonal timepiece. HUF logo can also be found in watch band too. Around the back, the case back is engraved with the HUF 20th anniversary logo.
Rounding up the HUF treatment is packaging featuring the cityscape of San Francisco as a homage to HUF’s origins.
Outside of HUF design features, the HUF x G-Shock 20th Anniversary GA-2100 Watch boasts the usual GA-2100/G-Shock features/functionalities and these include mineral glass, dual timekeeping (analog and digital), shock resistance featuring carbon core guard structure, 20-bar water resistance, glow-in-the-dark Neobrite hands and indexes, stopwatch, countdown timer, and double LED light for the face and digital display backlight.
We noted that the US$140 HUF x G-Shock 20th Anniversary GA-2100 Watch is sold out on HUF’s website but the good news is, the last time we checked, it is available from Casio US website.
