Takara Tomy Arts Showy Gacha Machine Backpack

Capsule toys, or gacha, which originated in the United States, were brought into Japan in the 60s. In a strange development, it became a sensation and a pop culture thing, perhaps due in part to the higher value toy included in each capsule. If you are a fan of the Japanese gachapon, specifically those from Tomy, well then you are not going to miss the Showy Gacha Machine Backpack.

Part of the company’s “Let’s Play Gacha Project” started last December to promote capsule toys, the Showy Gacha Machine Backpack is the second official gacha good (the first was a Gacha T-shirt).

It is a functional backpack in the likeness of the highly recognizable Takara Tomy Arts’ Gacha 2Ez (Easy) machine, complete with a main transparent window in which you can display illustrations/photos choice, the cranking knob that you can twist like on the real machine (but it will not dispense capsules), and a capsule dispensing outlet which is actually a zipper pocket for your (secret) stash of gacha and whatnot.

The backpack is decorated with the requisite labels you may find on the Gacha 2Ez machine. The bag has a wide opening main compartment and the bag is able to fit A4 size documents and accommodate a 13-inch laptop. A zipper inner pocket as well as a divider pocket further allows for organized storage inside the bag.

Each bag will come with 10 empty capsules, along with an instruction manual. The bag has a PVC exterior with an interior lined with polyester, and a carrying handle made of ABS material.
