IEC Shine Light Up Bluetooth Earbuds

Running at night is bad enough because of the low visibility other road users have of you and running with earphones stuffed into your sound holes isn’t going to make it any better. Well, not if you are listening with IEC Shine Light Up Bluetooth Earbuds. Soon to hit Kickstarter, this pair of innovative in-ear headphones feature an innovative laser-light neck strap that will add to your visibility and “portray emotions and moods externally,” said IEC Technology. We kind of like the idea, but we are more incline to think this is more for those who runs – at night.

Honestly, if we were to wear this on a public commute or in a gym, we may end up pissing people off. You know, flashing light ain’t exactly an eye-friendly thing. Anywho, IEC Shine Light Up Bluetooth Earbuds’ light is not just some fancy, mindless light up gadget. It offers three modes of light up: glow in different colors based on the music, glow tied to the your movements (such as during workouts or runs) and lastly, glow in variety of colors tied to your breathing. If those aren’t enough, you can further customize the glow based on sound waves, choosing between crests and hollows, or switch it off altogether when you start to notice impatience and/or irate stares at your direction.

As incredible as it may sound, this tiny package is packed with sensors to enable the motion-based glowing to be possible and on top of that, it has the required Bluetooth module and a 120 mAh battery pack, good for up to seven hours of playback per 1.5 hours charge. Wireless audio quality is assured by aptX technology to deliver “CD quality audio” with “powerful stereophonic sound quality.” Well, at least those are the promises. IEC Shine Light Up Bluetooth Earbuds will be hitting up Kickstarter on November 16, where it will be offered to backers in exchange for $59-$79, depending how soon you back the campaign.
