Jet Powered Micro Scooter by Colin Furze

There are micro scooter, AKA skatescooter, and then there is this “Jet Powered” micro scooter whipped up by plumber-turn-mad garage inventor Colin Furze. The Jet Powered Micro Scooter is sure to put a smile on the face of any kid who is brave enough to step onboard and it certainly put a smile on Furze’s little one. Clearly, he is one adrenalin junkie in the making. Anywho, this Jet Powered Micro Scooter is not actually jet engine powered. That would be madness because it will be way over-powered for kids of any age. Hell, it would be potentially catastrophic even for grown-ass person too (but that won’t stop the mad Brit garage inventor from trying).

With the Jet Powered Micro Scooter, Furze essentially turned a regular micro scooter into radio controlled skatescooter. But instead, of motorizing like most people would do, Furze choose to go the electric EDF (electric ducted fan). Throw in a few bits of R/C essentials like ESC, receiver and battery pack, and the necessary brackets here and there, a Jet Powered Micro Scooter was born. The caveat for junior is, he don’t have the control over his formerly kick-powered ride. Daddy is in control, for obvious reasons. Despite so, he is one lucky kid. I guess that also makes Furze an awesome dad. Skip ahead to see the build montage and the completed ride in action.
