Earlier this month, Nike has unveiled another collaboration between Jordan Brand and the granddaddy of denim, Levi’s. This time round, the collaboration presents a denim combo comprising of a pair of Air Jordan IV and a Levi Strauss & Co. reversible Trucker Jacket. I don’t know about you, but me think a pair of kicks is denim is destined for display only. I mean, look at it. It is so beautiful that you will not want to soil it. This unique pair of Jordan features a standard wash denim on the upper, reverse denim on the liner and insole, a remixed Levi’s iconic “Two Horses” paper patch with Jumpman logo on the rogue and hangtag, gum details on the outsole, gold stitching, indigo-color laces and finally, topping off with another Levi’s signature, the Levi’s Red Tab.
The Jordan Reversible Trucker Jacket is, as the product name implies, reversible. One side is denim-heavy, while the other side is more flight suit-orientated. In general, expect Flight Suit-inspired wings details, co-branded dark-copper shank buttons and obviously, Levi’s and Jordan branding across the outerwear, including the classic paper patch on the back hem and attached tag. On the denim side, it features a worn denim material, beautifully accented with red Flight Suit underarm, consummated with lightly distressed flight logo. On the reverse side, it is a predominantly black Flight Suit with denim accent on the collar, and features the requisite Jumpman Flight logo around the back. Both the sneakers and the jackets will, like any Levi’s denim, patina with regular wear.
Actually, that’s kind of interesting because patina is not something welcoming in regular material shoes. I guess, being denim makes all the difference. Or should I say, being Levi’s kind of denim makes it all the interesting as far patina is concerned. Anyways, the Jordan Brand x Levi’s Air Jordan IV and Reversible Trucker Jacket are available since January 17 at select locations listed below:
