One of the best things about hi-fi companies, in my opinion, is that their products usually last for years before being replaced by next-gen models. The KEF LSX, introduced in 2018, received a follow-up in 2022 with the LSX II. 3 years on, the LSX II is not only still available, but it has gotten new colors. And no, we did not feature either, and so we are taking this opportunity to make up for lost time—or, should I say, lost feature?

Anyhoo, so yes, KEF has just added two new colorways to its critically acclaimed compact wireless Hi-Fi speakers: Amber Haze, a warm, sophisticated statement, and Cotton White, a clean, minimalist classic. Not going to lie. If it weren’t for the Amber Haze, this would have slipped past me.
KEF is meticulous even with colors. The folks did not pull these colors out of the thin air, or because one of the engineers/designers had a dream about these colors. They actually did a detailed research into current interior trends, and aligned them with KEF’s design themes such as ‘Soulful Minimalism’ and ‘AI Metamorphosis’ to result in these two beautiful colorways.
The two colors represent two spectrums: one vibrant and lively, and the other, Zen-like minimalism. The Amber Haze is much like Andy Warhol, while the Cotton White is the ever-classy George Clooney.
Beyond the new colors, the KEF LSX II Compact Wireless Hi-Fi System is pretty much the same. It promises to deliver sound so rich that it feels true enough to touch, and in compact form that is perfect for your ridiculously tiny, multi-dollar loft apartment in Manhattan.

And compact it is. The LSX II remains a small two-box stereo setup that fits on bookshelves, tiny desks, slender console tables, or that floating IKEA plank someone convinced you was a “media unit”. Inside each cabinet sits a dedicated amplifier and KEF’s Uni-Q driver array, working with its Music Integrity Engine to deliver a properly layered stereo image—meaning vocals do not scream from somewhere near your lamp while drums take a vacation behind your fridge.
Connectivity remains chef-kiss versatile: HDMI ARC for TVs, USB-C for laptops, a dedicated subwoofer output for bass-addicted humans, and wireless streaming from AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify, and Tidal. So yes, your phone, TV, computer, or even dusty CD player can piggyback on it.
The cabinet is still wrapped in designer fabric by Michael Young, so it is not just audio gear; it blends cleanly into modern interiors, homes of the fun and vibrant, and the classy ones. And with the LSX II still delivering up to 24-bit/384 kHz audio, this is hi-fi that is both miniature and mildly intimidating to your non-audio friends.
The KEF LSX II Compact Wireless Hi-Fi System remains available at US$1,499.99 per set—now in Amber Haze and Cotton White, so your ears are happy, and your interior aesthetic feels complete.
