Key Moments In History Presented In LEGO

If you are curious about history and love LEGO, then here’s an exhibition, entitled Brick History, happening at Hull History Centre in U.K. that might interest you. Brick History is not about the history of LEGO. Instead, the exhibition tells the story of pivotal moments and icons in the world’s history through, you guessed it, models created entirely using the famous Danish toy, LEGO, by professional LEGO artist Warren Elsmore and his team of artists.

Expect to witness LEGO recreation of Mozart, Martin Luther King, the iconic (and much missed) Concorde, scientific discoveries like the Big Bang to the invention of mobile phones and moon landings. The exhibition also covers natural disasters like the infamous Pompeii and conflicts like the Boston Tea Party. All the models and dioramas are presented in 24 custom-lit plinths, accompanied by colorful interpretation panels, and no less than 11 high-quality pieces of wall art.

The exhibition, which started on January 12, 2019, will run through to March 09, 2019. I think the best part is, it is free. Brick History is brought to the center by Hull City Council with support from the University of Hull. Operating hours are 9:30AM-5:30PM, Monday to Friday, and 9:00AM-4:30PM on Saturdays. The exhibition is closed on Sundays. So, if you are in and around Worship St., Hull HU2 8BG, you may want to consider dropping by to pick up a thing or two about the world’s history, LEGO style. I think it should be fun experience for kids.
