You need a clock and you need some sort of survival kit in your home for peace of mind. With that in mind, you can either get a sleek clock and a separate survival kit, or you could look to KGC Life Clock Disaster Preparation Clock Kit as a (stylish) two-in-one solution. Designed by Seoul-based industrial design studio, SWNA (formerly SWBK), Life Clock is both a minimalist clock and also a survival kit. In short, Life Clock is a functional time-telling device that could also save your life in time of a disaster. The obvious boon about this is, you have the kit right in plain sight while not actually being an eyesore. Seriously, we can’t see how is it not brilliant.
The beautiful rounded corners square clock opens up to a space where you will find a basic emergency supplies which include a lighting rod and condenser to start a fire, a thermal insulation blanket, a small roll of pressure bandage, a whistle, and a SOS banner in eye-catching yellow for grabbing attention of rescue crews. The inside features a placeholder with cutouts for the various items, making them very organized and look as awesome as it is on the exterior. Unlike most clocks which are either design for wall-mount or table top, Life Clock can be wall-mounted or place on any flat surface, so it is always within sight and accessible. In addition, having the placement flexibility also means it can easily blend into any home decor. Dope.
Available in a choice of bright red, blue, or grey, it will be one clock you won’t miss. Just don’t let its beauty distract you from its other function. The Life Clock can be found on Korea Gyeonggido Company website where it is being retailed for 39,000 Won (or around US$36). However, we are not sure if it is available to the international community because, the website is in Korean. Continue reading to find a few more awesome looks of the Life Clock.
