Lacoste really knows how to reinvent itself. One of its biggest “survival adaptations” is perhaps teaming up with pop culture icons like Polaroid and Godzilla. For the latter, it has just welcomed a second wave, the Lacoste x Godzilla 2.0.

Following the huge response to the first collaboration launched in September 2025, Lacoste is bringing the crocodile and the King of the Monsters back together again, except this time, the collection has evolved into something moodier, darker, and more city-ready, with navy taking center stage.
Yes, navy. Well, it looks like the world’s famous croc has gone through its own Heisei era.
Dubbed “LACOSTE + GODZILLA 2.0,” the new collection expands beyond the original Godzilla-spined crocodile design that turned heads the first time around. Joining the chaos are new graphics that include the Shinjuku-famous Godzilla Head fused with the Lacoste crocodile, a Mechagodzilla + crocodile hybrid, and something called Team Godzilla, which sounds like Godzilla is heading for the Olympics.
The Team Godzilla design is particularly wild. On the front, you get the Lacoste crocodile alongside Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, Minilla, and Mothra larva. Then, on the back shoulder, King Ghidorah and adult Mothra join the monster roll call. Somebody at Lacoste clearly had fun with this one.
The collection itself expands beyond polos and T-shirts, too. New categories for this second wave include sweat shorts and tote bags, which means yes, you can now grocery shop while carrying a kaiju-themed Lacoste bag. Fashion is healing.
Among the standout pieces are the Shinjuku-exclusive Godzilla Head T-shirt in black, the navy Mechagodzilla T-shirt, and a navy Godzilla polo shirt finished in an indigo blue tone. The polo alone feels like the kind of thing you wear when you want to look classy while still letting people know you probably know the difference between Showa Mechagodzilla and Kiryu.
Outside of the Shinjuku exclusives, the broader release includes Team Godzilla tees, crocodile-plus-Godzilla graphic shirts, caps, socks, tote bags, and multiple polo shirt variants in white, black, navy, and gray.

The collection also coincides with the grand opening of the new LACOSTE Shinjuku Store on April 25, 2026. The two-floor flagship spans over 219 square meters (2,359 square feet) and blends elements from the Harajuku and New York 5th Avenue stores. Inside, visitors will find Japan’s first “Polo Wall,” tennis court-inspired interior elements, artwork by wire artist Hayu, and of course, giant Godzilla displays because subtlety was never part of this collaboration’s DNA.
To celebrate the launch, Lacoste is also displaying Godzilla and crocodile models created with the cooperation of Toho Eizo Bijutsu, the studio involved in creating props and effects for many Godzilla productions. The displays will run at the Shinjuku store from April 25 through May 21, while a special pop-up at Kyoto Takashimaya will host them from June 3 to June 9.
As for availability, select items launch first at the Shinjuku store on April 25 before expanding to additional Lacoste stores and the official online store on May 29. Early access for selected Lacoste membership customers begins on April 23.
One thing worth noting: due to limited quantities, shoppers at the Shinjuku launch will be limited to one item per model number and a maximum of five items total. Which probably tells you all you need to know about how fast fans are expected to descend upon this collection.
Prices start at 3,850 yen [JP] (around US$27) for socks and go up to 24,200 yen (around US$168) for the polo shirts.
