The regular Lamborghini Revuelto is hardly the sort of car that leaves its driver wishing for more. Its electrified V12 already produces 1,015 CV, reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.5 seconds, and looks like it escaped from an especially expensive science-fiction movie. Lamborghini, however, found room for improvement. Meet the Lamborghini Revuelto SV.
Unveiled at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, the Revuelto SV revives the Super Veloce name last worn by the Aventador SV. It is only the fifth Lamborghini to receive those two letters, following the Miura, Diablo, Murciélago, and Aventador.
The Revuelto’s naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 remains, producing 825 CV at 9,250 rpm. The additional fury comes from its three electric motors and a larger 7.3 kWh battery, raising combined output from 1,015 to 1,065 CV (1,050 hp). Transmission shift times have also been reduced by 30%, presumably because the standard Revuelto spent far too long changing gears.
Performance improves accordingly. The SV dispatches 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.4 seconds, reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) in 6.7 seconds, and tops out at 348 km/h (216 mph). Its power-to-weight ratio stands at 1.66 kg per CV.
More power alone would have been terribly unimaginative, so Lamborghini added a new front bumper, extensive carbon fiber, and a large multifunction rear wing. Together, they generate 80% more downforce than the Revuelto, while the front axle receives twice as much. GT3-derived manually adjustable dampers, Bridgestone Potenza Race R tires, center-lock wheels, and upgraded CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes complete the track-focused transformation.
A new red Pilota selector lets drivers adjust the traction-control intervention, giving skilled owners more freedom and everyone else another brightly colored control best approached with humility.
Only 1,963 examples will be produced, referencing Lamborghini’s founding year. Pricing has not been announced. If the Revuelto appeared insufficiently fast, however, the invoice probably will not be your greatest concern.
