What has Honda Civic has to do with Neon Genesis Evangelion? As far as we know, there’s no relation. But that does not stop the Japanese automaker from getting into a collaboration with the cult anime franchise.
Now, you may expect Honda to roll out limited edition Civic wrapped in Evangelion graphics. Well, apparently, there’s no such thing. It is merely a cross promotion. If you ask me, this could be most lame collab ever.
Yeah, yeah. There were attempts to associate Honda Civic’s body color, performance and technology such as Honda Sensing with Evangelion, but are there really any association? I think not.
Notwithstanding the obvious non-association between the two brands, Honda and Evangelion have created three videos, each featuring the three main characters of the original series, namely, Asuka Langley Sohryu, Shinji Ikari and Rey Ayanami, starring alongside, you guessed it, Honda Civic.
