If you don’t know, LEGO is against making sets based on real modern military hardware due to a long-standing company policy to avoid glorifying war or normalizing violence. This is why you never hear the Danish toymaker rave about a MOC like the USS Missouri WWII Battleship. Similarly, it also steers clear of gruesome or horror-themed sets, so if a theme like Chainsaw Man is your thing, well, LEGO MOCs are your only outlet.

Speaking of which, LEGO enthusiasts like Taiwan-based Yu Chris actually did a LEGO MOC of Chainsaw Man and did it perfectly. Yu has designed and built a 1/3 scale bust of the infamous Chainsaw Man, a.k.a. the Denji with a chainsaw for a head and arms with a chainsaw guidebar with chain, a.k.a. the hybrid devil-human devil hunter. Using a combination of bricks and Technic elements, Yu created a bust of the titular devil hunter with every detail possible, and seemingly more maniacal.
There is the iconic Chainsaw Head in all red—the un-bloodied version is typically orange or a reddish tint—presumably stained by the blood of the hunted, along with the signature guide bar and chain featuring jagged blades partially rendered in red for effect. The gaping maw is lined with sharp, jagged teeth, often dripping with blood in battle, though Yu’s creation does not feature literal “blood.” Even so, the enamel-like finish looks more menacing than in the anime and makes certain toys look mild in comparison.
The bust includes the upper half of the torso, part of his signature white short-sleeve shirt, complete with Denji’s trademark black tie. The “shirt” is, of course, partially “bloodied” as well. The entire sculpture sits on a black brick-built cube base accented with red elements and plant pieces to represent splatters of blood.
All told, Yu Chris’ LEGO MOC Chainsaw Man 1/3 Scale Bust measures 360 mm long, 200 mm wide, and 430 mm tall. It is mostly a SNOT build, with only a handful of studs visible. This creation is not new, by the way. It was created and shared on Flickr by Chris more than three years ago. You can check out Chris’s other awesome creations HERE.
