Gathering seven Dragon Balls usually involves a fair amount of traveling, fighting, and dealing with people who desperately need a hobby. LEGO’s version requires 1,764 pieces and somewhere to put them. A much more manageable adventure, provided you don’t lose anything under the sofa.
The newly announced LEGO Icons Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku (11390) marks LEGO’s first partnership with Toei Animation, bringing Akira Toriyama’s beloved series into official brick form. And for its opening act, LEGO has gone straight for the wish-granting dragon himself.
Inspired by the original Dragon Ball anime, the display captures Shenron rising from all seven Dragon Balls, his long body curling upward with flowing scales and sculpted claws. Kid Goku joins him aboard his Kintoun, aka Flying Nimbus. There’s something particularly charming about seeing the little guy enjoying his cloud ride beside an enormous dragon.
You can detach and reposition Goku, while Shenron’s head and claws are poseable, giving you some freedom to arrange the scene. The completed model measures over 32 cm (12.5 inches) high, 24 cm (9.5 inches) long, and 26 cm (10 inches) wide. Worth measuring your shelf before inviting an Eternal Dragon onto it.
The 18+ set costs US$179.99 and arrives at LEGO Stores and online on November 4, 2026, with LEGO Insiders getting early access on November 1. More Dragon Ball sets are confirmed for 2027 and beyond. You may want to save that wish for a bigger display cabinet.
