Do you know how big the Hogwarts Castle is? I am sure you can find the numbers online but if you cannot be bothered to, just let it be known that it is so big that years on, LEGO is still coming up with new sets on the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. That’s right. There is yet another part of the Hogwarts Castle in plastic bricks.
Joining the many parts of brick-built Hogwarts that already include the Astronomy Tower, the Clock Tower, and more is another The Great Hall set, the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle The Great Hall (76435) set. Yes. It is another but this time this is more intricate, complete with the rocky cliff.
Coming in at a whopping 1,732 pieces, it is the largest-ever LEGO brick recreation of the Great Hall. With more elements, the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle The Great Hall (76435) can pack more details, including floating candles, the illusion of sky, and more.
The Great Hall includes the courtyard, and the dungeon that has a secret entrance in the rock face and 3 detailed rooms – a bathroom, corridor, and Hufflepuff common room – each can be slid out to increase playability. Also included with the set are 6 of the 14 random collectible Hogwarts portraits for display.
The set is also a minifigure galore; it boasts 11 characters, including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, Professor Quirrell, Leanne, Daphne Greengrass, Terry Boot, Professor Vector, the Fat Friar, and a mountain troll.
When completed, the brick-built Great Hall measures over 16 in. (40 cm) high, 17.5 in. (44 cm) wide and 8.5 in. (21 cm) deep. The real kicker here is that it is the main model in a series of modular sets (sold separately, obviously) that can be connected to create the most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts Castle scene ever. So, if a 6,000-piece Hogwarts Castle does not cut it for you, this is your key to an even larger and more detailed set.
