If stalking machines in LEGO Horizon Adventures wasn’t enough, now you can bring Aloy, Varl, and their weaponized survival skills to your living room with the new LEGO Horizon Adventures Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth set.
This 768-piece construction lets you reenact the epic clash of heroes versus hulking machines, but this time, no controller skills are required—just nimble fingers and maybe some patience if you drop a piece under the couch.
The set’s jungle-themed showdown includes a posable Shell-Walker armed with claws, an energy shield, and a detachable cargo pod (which we hope doesn’t contain anything explosive). The real star of the show, though, is the Sawtooth.
Towering over your desk at 7 inches (18 cm) tall, this fully articulated beast has jaws that open, a swiveling torso, and limbs that might be more flexible than yours after a weekend hike.
Both machines faithfully echo the terrifying charm of their in-game counterparts while being just harmless enough to let your cat inspect them without fear.
Aloy and Varl, of course, come with their trusty brick-built weapons. The bow and spear can unleash fire, shock, or chill attacks, which is LEGO code for “imagination sold separately.”
While you’re busy battling these foes, don’t forget that LEGO Horizon Adventures is already live, combining lighthearted storytelling with digital bricks and a hearty dose of customization. You can build everything from fancy outfits to machines that are—thankfully—much easier to dismantle than their plastic counterparts.
This set drops officially on March 1, 2025, priced at US$44.99. Pre-orders are available now, so if you want Aloy and Varl to guard your snacks from invading Shell-Walkers, now’s your chance.
This is the first set based on the LEGO Horizon Adventures video game. The previous LEGO set, the Tallneck, was based on the second Horizon game, the Horizon Forbidden West.
