Rejoice, fans of Dungeons & Dragons! The most endearing franchise of our time, Dungeons & Dragons has finally gotten its first plastic brick treatment. To celebrate Dungeons & Dragons‘ 50th anniversary, LEGO has launched the first-ever D&D-themed LEGO set, the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, created through a fan design challenge.
The winner, Lucas Bolt aka BoltBuilds from Amsterdam, collaborated with the LEGO Design team and Wizards of the Coast to produce a massive 3,745-piece set that features a detailed tavern, dungeon, tower, and six minifigures, alongside brick-built monsters and a giant red dragon.
When completed, the set measures a behemoth 48 cm tall, 30 cm wide, and 37 cm long (about 18.9 x 11.8 x 14.6 inches). The set emphasizes storytelling and playability, embodying D&D‘s spirit of adventure. Additionally, a special adventure book is available for LEGO Insiders, enhancing the play experience with a unique D&D adventure.
The set launches in April 2024 for a pretty steep US$359.99 with early access for LEGO Insiders and a special gift offer during the first week of sales. Not surprisingly, this is a made for adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) set.
