You are not seeing things. This is a LEGO set showcasing the epic showdown between Spider-Man vs. Sandman, which we have seen before. However, this one is less epic, IMO, despite it being part of the Epic Moment Collection as the LEGO Marvel Epic Battles: Hulkbuster vs. The Hulk (76343). It is more diorama, and the best part for minifigure collectors, Sandman is now a minifigure, and so is Venom. Pretty cool, eh?
The LEGO Marvel Epic Battles: Spider-Man vs. Sandman (76334) recreates a key moment from Spider-Man 3, but does so on a much smaller and more contained scale. Instead of going all-in on destruction, LEGO focuses on a vertical construction-site scene where Spider-Man swings down from a tower, Sandman erupts from the ground with a massive sand arm, and Venom shows up with four poseable tentacles ready to complicate things.
This set is clearly designed as a snapshot rather than a full-blown battle playset. The rubble, scaffolding, and debris frame the characters nicely, making it more suitable for display than chaos. A sturdy base and nameplate reinforce that idea, though the minifigures can be detached if play takes over.
The minifigure lineup is where this set really earns its keep. Spider-Man and Venom are familiar faces, but Sandman finally getting minifigure treatment is the real highlight here. His brick-built base and oversized arm give him presence without turning him into a full sculpted figure, which feels like the right compromise at this scale.
With 201 pieces, the build is quick and approachable for ages 9 and up. Once completed, the diorama measures over 14 cm tall, 13 cm wide, and 10 cm deep, or about 5.5 inches tall, 5 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. It fits comfortably on a shelf or desk and does not demand rearranging your entire display.
This set is also part of LEGO’s new Epic Moment Collection for 2026, which focuses on recreating specific Marvel movie scenes rather than standalone characters. Hulkbuster vs. Hulk went big and loud. Spider-Man vs. Sandman goes smaller and more controlled, and that contrast actually works.
