LEGO collectors of Marvel iconic objects will be glad to know that Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws have joined the brick-built lineup that includes the like of Captain America’s shield, Thor’s Mjolnir, Infinity Gauntlet, and Marvel Nano Gauntlet. Unfortunately, though, the LEGO Marvel Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws (76250) does not share the same theme.
While previous LEGO Marvel icons are based on live-action movies, the LEGO Marvel Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws (76250) is not. It is presented as a clawed glove based on the mutant superhero’s appearance in the upcoming animated series on Disney+, X-Men ’97.
In the series, Wolverine will be donning the classic yellow/blue and black costume. It makes sense to base it on the animated series as it also helps in promoting the TV show. I don’t think it would be appropriate to base it on the live-action movie Wolverine anyways.
It is not in line with the previous set since the previous sets were all based on Marvel movies with no Wolverine involvement. Plus, a brick-built bare hand wouldn’t look as impressive if not a little morbid because you know it is a section of the forearm with the hand.
The LEGO Marvel Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws (76250) uses 596 pieces to recreate Wolverine’s clawed glove and features 3 posable claws, movable fingers, and a sturdy stand with a descriptive panel. When completed, the model measures over 14.5 in. (37 cm) high, 5.5 in. (14 cm) wide, and 3.5 in. (9 cm) deep.
The LEGO Marvel Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws (76250) will sell for US$69.99 when it becomes available on August 01, 2023. Meanwhile, you may secure a copy by pre-order it from LEGO.com.
