Good news, LEGO Mindstorms enthusiasts. Your knack for building crazy LEGO Mindstorms creations may be rewarded handsomely – courtesy of Amazon. Amazon has partnered with LEGO Group for a competition, LEGO Mindstorms Voice Challenge: Powered by Alexa.
In this contests, Alexa developers, LEGO Mindstorms builders and creators from around the world are invited integrate voice commands to their LEGO Mindstorms creations.
Basically, what participants need to do is to build a LEGO Mindstorms creation that interacts with Amazon Alexa via voice using Alexa Gadgets Toolkit. The contest is open to all. However, ages between 13 and 17 will need to seek parental consent.
So, what will you get out of it? For starter, the first 100 submissions (100 winners) who meets the the requirements will received a $150 Amazon.com Gift Card.
Challengers will have a chance to land on the grand prize that includes $20,000 Amazon.com Gift Cards, $700 in LEGO sets, and a trip for two to the LEGO Headquarters in Billund, Denmark, and perhaps more importantly for creators, the opportunity to showcase their creation at LEGO World in Copenhagen.
