Japanese stationery company Showa Note not only makes school supplies. Apparently, it also make wearable cardboard costumes. I know. That is strangely unrelated, but I guess that’s Japanese company for all of us. It comes pre-painted and the parts perforated so you can pop them out and put them together without a box cutter or scissors. Obviously, the look there is somewhat polygon-ish. But being an optimist, I think the Showa Note Cardboard Darth Vader Costume is perfect if you are cosplaying the Papercraft version of Darth Vader. On a serious note, though, it makes for an affordable cosplay getup if have limited skill in making your own costume. All you need to complete the look are matching black gloves, black boots and of course, black apparels. But really, with this kit, you are already 50 percent done with your costume.

The costume was introduced last fall in Japan for 3,980 yen (US$36.54). Last check, it is still available from Amazon Japan for 2,947 yen (US$27).
