LEGO MOC Acclamator-class Assault Ship

It has gotten the 10,000 support it needed, but sadly, this freaking awesome LEGO MOC Acclamator-class Assault Ship didn’t get the nods from the LEGO Review Board (it loses out to Treehouse and Flintstones). Perhaps, it wasn’t mainstream enough like its successor, the Imperial Star Destroyer? For the uninitiated, the Acclamator-class Assault Ship was an assault-class capital ship of the Galactic Republic and it predates the Star Destroyer.

Not sure why LEGO would forgo this awesome set. Perhaps there are several factors which my guess is, includes popularity. Lets face it. The original trilogy is the one that has a cult following. Most would not even bother with the Republic’s nonsense. Unfortunately, I belong to the group who aren’t bothered by anything outside of the original trilogy. However, I am unbiased when it comes to awesome Star Destroyer-related builds (as many of you may have already noticed) and this LEGO MOC Acclamator-class Assault Ship here is no exception.

While its creator, Lucero detailed the model in words, it unfortunately lacks important details like the number of pieces, size of built product et cetera. Plus, it didn’t win as a digital model, IMHO. Lucero spent around 60 hours on LDD designing it, but it was never a physical model which will be super cool if it was. But fret not for folks who are as disappointed as me with LEGO Review Board’s decision because, Lucero was kind enough to share his build with the rest world by taking time to create a building instructions for this LEGO MOC Acclamator-class Assault Ship, so we can all build one ourselves.

If you are keen, you can find the instructions as a PDF file HERE. On behalf of Star Wars fanatics and LEGO enthusiasts on this little Blue Marble, thank you for doing this, Lucero! I have downloaded the document. Now I just have to find time to go through the bill of materials, acquire the pieces required and start working on it. Hopefully, I will be able to share the build here within this year. As I am typing that, I was looking over at my Jakks Pacific K2SO which I was supposed to spruce up… Seriously, where do one find all the time he or she needs?
