LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75419) UCS Set

Why LEGO dropped the Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) name is beyond us. But that is not important because UCS branding is officially back! Well, at least it is in the official press release of the LEGO Star Wars Death Star — Ultimate Collector Series building set. That’s right. It’s another brick-built Death Star, but this one is a to die for set for any hardcore fan of Star Wars. OK, maybe just LEGO Star Wars fans.

LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75419) UCS Set

Associated with set number 75419, it uses an astonishing 9,023 elements to recreate a Death Star that measures a staggering 70 cm high, 79 cm wide, and 27 cm deep (~27.5 x 31 x 10.5 inches for the staunch imperialists). Metric is inherently more accurate, btw. Just saying… In addition to a crazy number of pieces and a massive completed model, this set has a galactic-sized sticker, too.

Expect to shell out a family finance-breaking 1,000 dollars—or US$999.99, to be precise. This is one Death Star that you will not want to see destroyed.

Fun fact: It may pack over 9,000 pieces, but this ain’t the largest LEGO set yet—it has a few pieces fewer than the Titanic set. The largest LEGO set yet is the LEGO Art World Map with 11,695 elements, or the Eiffel Tower—if you want to compare to actual models rather than a map—which has 10,001 pieces. But never mind the numbers, because the sheer size and details will make any grown man weep with joy.

What you get is not just a sphere of grey bricks but a galactic dollhouse of doom. Packed into its compact spherical structure are recreations of iconic scenes from the original trilogy, including Leia’s cell, the trash compactor, Palpatine’s throne room, the tractor beam control, an Imperial shuttle hangar, and more. There’s even the iconic swing scene where Luke and Leia risk their lives for OSHA violations.

And in case you think this is all bricks and no play, LEGO dropped in 38 minifigures (🤯), including Luke in Jedi and stormtrooper cosplay, Leia, Han, Vader, Palpatine, and two droids. Oh, and because someone at Billund clearly has a sense of humor, a stormtrooper in a hot tub. That’s canon now.

The UCS Death Star isn’t just another model; it’s an endurance test. Nine thousand pieces will test your patience, your living room space, and possibly your marriage. But when it’s done, you’ll have a melon-sized space station that looks like it can shoot Alderaan right off your shelf.

What’s more is that if you’re fast enough, early buyers get a bonus LEGO TIE Fighter with hangar rack, while LEGO Insiders can cash in points for a limited-edition 80 x 60 cm numbered poster that screams, “Yes, I spent a grand on bricks, and I’m proud of it.”

The LEGO Star Wars Death Star UCS (75419) will be available in early access for LEGO Insiders on October 1, 2025, before going on general release on October 4. Meanwhile, you can get the lowdowns over at the product page on LEGO.com. As for me, I think I will stick with the puny brick-built Death Star.
