LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Video Game

I thought there won’t be anymore LEGO Star Wars video game now that Disney is calling it an end with J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which will hit the theaters on December 20, 2019. Well, as it turns out, as far as the original trilogy, prequel trilogy and sequel trilogy go, it hasn’t. At this year’s E3, LEGO has revealed the launch trailer of the newest LEGO Star Wars video game, aptly called LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga.

As you may have already guessed, LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga gameplay is based on all nine films of the main Star Wars saga, from the very first Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope from 1977 to the 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi to the upcoming concluding instalment, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. This being a LEGO video game, you can expect the usual full-filled adventures, sprinkled with healthy doses of whimsical humor (and no dialog of any kind, if I may add).

It is good to know that the dark mood set in the disappointing prequel trilogy and the even darker mood (thanks Kylo!) in the sequel trilogy will not be present. LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga will arrive in 2020 to PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It will be a while before the game hits the shelves and so, those offended by spoilers will be glad that it won’t be spoiling the upcoming movie. Hell, even the reveal trailer says nothing.
