What you see here is the new LEGO Star Wars Yavin 4 Rebel Base (75365) Set. It is not a Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary set but it is based on the original franchise, specifically Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope and so I’d say it is a must-have for OG fans of Star Wars.
The 1,066-piece set lets you recreate the iconic Star Wars location, the Yavin 4 Rebel Base from the 1977 sci-fi flick. The brick-built Yavin 4 Rebel Base features the command room with a rotating hologram table, a pilot briefing room, the ceremonial stage where you can reward the Rebel heroes with included medals, and a pair of rotating stud shooters.
The set also includes a brick-built Y-wing with 2 spring-loaded shooters, a service cart, and a buildable tree with an elevating watchtower. This set is also a minifigure collector’s wet dream; it comes with a whopping 10 minifigures and 2 LEGO droid figures, which include Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, General Dodonna, Jon Vander, Garven Dreis (new-for-August-2023), Rebel Fleet Trooper and Rebel Crew, and R2-D2 and R2-BHD LEGO droid figures.
The LEGO Star Wars Yavin 4 Rebel Base is modular and measures over 12 in. (31 cm) high, 19 in. (49 cm) wide, and 7.5 in. (20 cm) deep when completed.
The LEGO Star Wars Yavin 4 Rebel Base (75365) Set does not cheap; it will set you back at a pretty steep US$169.99. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
