UK-based international sports-fashion retailer, JD, has partnered with Pokémon GO to create 300 PokéStops across the U.K. and Europe. In addition, Pokémon GO players aka trainers can collect exclusive avatar items inspired by JD-exclusive Nike apparel by spinning the PokéStop and tapping the Nike items.
The avatar items or skins, which include a pair of Nike Air Max 2021 sneakers, Nike Air T-shirt, and Nike Air Max Heritage backpack, can then be used to personalize your in-game player. Speaking of which, I do have something to say… if everyone picks up the same thing… how is that personalization? Just saying…
Anyhoo… if the virtual JD-exclusive-inspired items aren’t enough to satisfy your need for a sporty style getup, you will be glad that real-world versions are also available to buy from JDsports.co.uk.
Meanwhile, in the game, trainers will be rewarded for hitting up physical locations that host in-game PokéStops, where they can pick up in-game items like Poké Balls, Potions, and Eggs. JD x Pokémon GO kicked off on Friday, October 22, 2021. Check out the list of PokéStop HERE.
This is not the first time, Pokémon GO has teamed up with the fashion industry. Previously, the North Face x Gucci Collection is also available as in-game items usable by your avatar.
