LEGO Technic Top Gear Rally Car

Wait. Is Top Gear still a thing without Clarkson? If it is to you, then I am pretty darn sure you will dig the new LEGO Technic Top Gear Rally Car. The LEGO Technic Top Gear Rally Car is the first-ever LEGO Technic set designed in collaboration with BBC studios (with no reference to any car, apparently).

It is not a big set. It packs just 463 pieces, but I guess this toy is more about play than build process because, CONTROL+ app.

Featuring a body – complete with snazzy stickers to recreate the race car look – co-designed with folks over at BBC, the LEGO Technic Top Gear Rally Car is an app-controlled RC vehicle, controllable with the LEGO Technic CONTROL+ app. The app offers steering, multi-touch control as well as gyro control.

Moreover, it attempts to engage children of ages 9 and up to take part in challenges and set achievements. See what I mean it is more about play than build?

The vehicle is powered by a large motor, one XL motor and there is a Bluetooth controlled smart hub that enables the magic (of remote control).

The LEGO Technic Top Gear Rally Car will sell for $129 when it becomes available on December 26, 2019. The Stig not included. Awww. Come on, LEGO, it really should come with The Stig minifigure. It really should.
