“Ghost” has arrived to the Leica Q. Leica has once again partnered with HODINKEE for a new special edition Leica Camera. This time, it is the Q that has gotten the “Ghost” treatment. The Leica Q2 “Ghost” by HODINKEE is a tribute to an iconic diving watch known as “Ghost Bezel”, so named for the very rare grey bezel.
The Leica Q2 “Ghost” by HODINKEE features a light gray and silver “Ghost” finish much like the MP10-P “Ghost Edition” by HODINKEE from 2019. The lens and dials are in silver with white and black engravings and where leather is found, it is of full-grain gray cowhide covering with special weather-resistant coating. The thumb rest is in silver too.
It is paired with a matching gray woven yarn strap with a stable key ring binding. Like the last “Ghost”, the red Leica logo has been deliberately omitted. Instead, it has an imprinted Leica letting on the top cover.
In addition, two engravings in the display glass further prove its exclusivity: they show the respective special serial number between 001/150 and 150/150 as well as the set name. Technically, it is identical to the Q2 serial model.
The Leica Q2 “Ghost” by HODINKEE has a limited run of just 150 sets worldwide and it will be available globally at all Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store, and authorized dealers starting on December 08, 2022, for US$5,995 (€5,950 including VAT).
Prior to that, it is also available from the HODINKEE website since November 15, 2022 – the day of the announcement. But as you may have already guessed, it is sold out.
