Infinix wasn’t the only one bringing solar power to gadgets at MWC this year. Lenovo took it up a notch with a laptop that harnesses the sun. Meet the Lenovo Yoga Solar PC Concept, a proof-of-concept laptop that ditches the usual charging cable for solar energy, letting users stay productive anywhere without hunting for an outlet.
The Yoga Solar PC Concept: A Laptop That Sunbathes

This futuristic laptop features a high-efficiency solar panel with a 24 percent conversion rate, achieved through Back Contact Cell technology, which maximizes light absorption. To optimize energy use, Lenovo added Dynamic Solar Tracking, a system that adjusts charging settings in real-time. Even in low-light conditions, the panel continues generating power, keeping the battery sustained when idle.
Solar Power Kit for Yoga: Charge Anywhere, Even on a Tree

For added flexibility, Lenovo introduced the Solar Power Kit for Yoga, a detachable USB-C solar panel designed for mobility. It can attach to a bag, backpack, tent, or even a tree while charging a power bank. This ensures continuous access to solar energy wherever sunlight is available.
Lenovo is proving that laptops don’t have to be desk-bound or tethered to a wall socket. Whether working from a café, a park, or halfway up a mountain, the sun is now a power source.
Pricing and Availability
They appears to be, well, just concepts and so, it is unclear if they will ever become real product money can buy and if so, when. But the future sure is sunny, isn’t it?
