Marshall Amplification started 60 years ago, in 1962. Celebrating its diamond jubilee, Marshall is giving its “category-defining” Monitor II A.N.C. headphones, Motif A.N.C. TWS earbuds, and Emberton Bluetooth speaker the black diamond finish.
The Limited Edition Marshall Black Diamond Finish Monitor II A.N.C., MOTIF A.N.C., and Emberton will be available globally from marshallheadphones.com starting on October 03, 2022.
As expected, the specs and features are the same as the stock the tweaks are limited cosmetics. TBH, the so-called “black diamond finish” is pretty subtle, especially for the MOTIF A.N.C. which has the Marshall branding on the charging case and on each earbud in matte black finish as opposed to white. In addition, the “EST. 1962” text, which used to be in brass color, is now also in matte black. I believe that’s about it.
Meanwhile, the Marshall Monitor II A.N.C. headphones have more differences from the standard issue. For a start, it now comes with a carrying case instead of a cloth bag. Like on the earbuds, all manner of Marshall branding is now in matte black.
The brass control knob found on the earcup is also now in matte black. Furthermore, the smooth leather on the inner headband is now replaced with a diamond pattern leather stamped with the words “DIAMOND JUBILEE 60 YEARS OF MARSHALL”.
Finally, the Black Diamond Finish Emberton also shared the same black-out treatment. Save for the power and battery indicators, anything that is previously not in black is now in black.
This means the Marshall branding on the grille, the raise control signs on top of the speaker, and the control button. The latter has a different design. Where the standard model has a brass button, the new button is a somewhat glossy, faceted octagonal design.
Completing the Black Diamond Finish is a stamped emblem of the “DIAMOND JUBILEE 60 YEARS OF MARSHALL” on the side.
The Limited Edition Marshall Motif A.N.C. TWS Earbuds and the Limited Edition Marshall Monitor II A.N.C. Headphones have an MSRP of US$219 and US$359, respectively.
As for the Limited Edition Marshall Emberton Bluetooth Speaker, it will sell for an MSRP of US$179 when it becomes available.
