Remember the striking electric bike with a modern spin on a classic sports bike—the Maeving RM1? We didn’t tell you about its more powerful sibling, the RM1S, which launched last April. But that doesn’t matter now, because the Maeving RM1S has an even cooler variant that looks as good as it rides. Meet the Maeving RM1S Blackout Electric Motorcycle.

Like the regular RM1S, it retains the RM1’s retro styling but dials up the performance with higher top speeds and improved battery capacity—now wrapped in a mysterious, all-black finish. And I believe that’s where the differences end.
The Limited Edition RM1S Blackout packs two swappable LG battery packs, each rated at 2.73 kWh, offering a combined range of up to 145 km (90 miles) in Eco mode, or around 84 km (52 miles) in Sport mode for the more trigger-happy rider. You can recharge the bike via a standard wall outlet or remove the batteries and charge them separately. Each battery takes around 6 hours to fully top up.
This Batman-worthy ride has a top speed of 112 km/h (70 mph), which means it’s no toy—it’s a legit mode of transportation, even highway-capable. In the U.K., that also means you’ll need to complete Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). Powering the bike is a brushless hub motor that makes a modest 15 horsepower, but don’t let that number fool you. It delivers a monstrous 261.6 Nm (193 lb-ft) of torque—more than many cars—so acceleration should be snappy and seriously fun.
Other key specs include a CrMo steel frame, non-adjustable 37 mm front forks with 110 mm of travel, K-Tech Razor Lite shocks at the rear with 80 mm of travel and preload/rebound adjustment, a 300 mm front disc brake, a 180 mm rear disc, and spoked wheels wrapped in Dunlop K70 tires.
Extras include a 10-liter (2.64-gal) storage tank with a USB-C port, an analog speedometer with a digital display for ride data, and a built-in GPS tracker. All in, this sleek electric bike weighs just 141 kg (311 lbs), with a seat height of 787 mm (31 inches).
The Maeving RM1S Blackout Electric Motorcycle is available to order now in the U.K., starting at £8,995 (about US$12,200). Meanwhile, keep going for some more detailed looks at this crazy, handsome two-wheeled machine.
