EVAR × MOTO-R Unit 01 Wristwatch

Remember Evangelion Racing? The racing team that slapped EVA-01 livery on motorcycles and cars like it’s the most natural crossover ever? Well, they’re still going strong after 15 years, and to celebrate, they’ve teamed up with Japanese watchmaker Kentex’s motorsports offshoot, MOTO-R, to drop something for fans who like their mecha with a side of motorsport: the EVAR × MOTO-R Unit 01 Wristwatch.

It’s purple. It’s green. It’s limited to just 99 pieces. And no, you don’t need to pilot an Eva to wear one—though it would help with the vibes.

The 42 mm timepiece is powered by a Japan-made chronograph quartz movement with shock detection, because even wristwatches deserve a little protection from existential threats. The second hand is shaped like the Spear of Cassius (yes, really), and the dial reflects the iconic EVA-01 colorway, finished in a sunray texture that shines just right in motion.

Meanwhile, at the 9 o’clock position is none other than the Evangelion Racing crest. And if you’re wondering, yes, each one is individually numbered and has a logo-engraved caseback for that sweet, sweet collector cred.

It comes with a comfy rubber-and-punched-leather strap, plus a bonus ballistic nylon band designed to fit over a rider suit—just in case you’re racing an EVA around Suzuka. It’s also 10 ATM water-resistant, so rain or LCL splashes are no issue.

Pre-orders started May 30, 2025, so better sync up before the clock runs out. The asking price is a grand 88,000 yen [JP] including tax in Japan, which works out to be around US$612 based on the current going rate.

This isn’t the first EVA-themed watch to grace our timelines. We’ve had the Welly Merck piece, the bold Unit 02 G-Shock collab, and even a classy, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it G-Shock from earlier. Oh, and let’s not forget the pocket watch—because of course that’s a thing. But this? This might just be the first time EVAR gets its own timepiece. But correct us if we are wrong on this.
