Makita. The Japanese brand is best known for its power tools and for a while guitar shredding. But do you know, it also has a coffee machine? In fact, it has not one, but two and the latest is the Makita 18V LXT/12V max CXT Cordless Coffee Maker. Perfect for your workshop bench or anywhere where power supply isn’t available. And if you don’t mind, it is perfect for camping too.
Here’s the official description:
“Get fresh brewed coffee wherever the job takes you with the 18V LXT® / 12V max CXT Cordless Coffee Maker (DCM501Z, Tool Only). No paper filters are needed, just your favorite ground coffee or single-serve pack, water, and a Makita 18V Lithium-Ion battery. It will brew up to three 5 ounce cups of coffee on a single charge of an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately). It is also compatible with both Makita 12V max CXT® and 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries.”
Perfect for Makita power tools owners. Who would have thought that one day your power tools‘ batteries could be the source of power for making a cuppa?
I believe the machine was released over a year ago, but thankfully it is still available though. You can find it on Amazon.com selling for around US$118. Not awfully expensive, if you ask me. It will make for the perfect gift for any handyman, DIYers and power tool users. OK, maybe just Makita power tools users.
