Mattel is celebrating the golden era of WWE (formerly WWF) with the new WWE Coliseum Collection. Kicking off the WWE Coliseum Collection Ultimate Edition 2-Pack are two of the biggest names of the 80s WWE scene, Hulk Hogan and Terry Funk.
While Hulk Hogan’s foray into Hollywood was less than successful compared to the young blood from the 90s and 2000s, Hulkamania was the ultimate sensation during his prime.
Who can forget the man’s eyeball-popping stare, the t-shirt tearing, the yellow sleeveless tee, the red headband, and the most muscular post he almost never failed to do?
And then there’s the legend from the Double Cross Ranch, Terry Funk. Funk was the “bad” hombre of the WWE and many fans fondly remember him with his cowboy hat and branding iron.
Each figure stands about 6 inches (~15 cm) tall and features TrueFX life-like detailing (would look at those head sculpts!), over 30 points of articulation, multiple heads, interchangeable hands, and authentic attire.
However, for reasons unknown to us, Hulk Hogan isn’t in his signature yellow tee. Seriously, the yellow sleeveless tee was synonymous with the big guy.
Anywho, the figures are presented in a premium retro-style box with slide-out packaging.
I can’t say I am the biggest fan of WWF but man, these figures sure bring back a surge of nostalgia. We can’t wait to see who’s next in line.
The Mattel WWE Coliseum Collection Hulk Hogan & Terry Funk Ultimate Edition Figures will go on sale on Mattel Creations on November 11, 2022, at 9 AM PT, for US$70.
