Mazda is finally rolling out another full-electric car in 2026—well, at least for Europe. You’d be forgiven for thinking the Japanese brand doesn’t do EVs, given that its only electric model, the MX-30, first showed up in 2019. But here we are, with the upcoming Mazda6e, a sleek five-door electric hatchback that blends sportiness with practicality.

Mazda is keeping things stylish with its “Kodo – Soul of Motion” design, giving the 6e a coupe-like profile, frameless doors, and flush door handles. The rear even features an electrically extendable spoiler, making sure it looks fast even when parked. For the first time, Mazda is adding a glowing front signature wing that also acts as a charging indicator. Because, you know, you gotta stand out somehow.
Inside, the cabin follows a minimalist Japanese-inspired design, complete with a panoramic glass roof, a floating horizontal dashboard, and 64-color ambient lighting. The front seats have a modern mono-form design, while trims range from artificial leather to plush Nappa options.
Full specs and pricing are still under wraps, but one thing is certain: Mazda’s EV game is finally getting a much-needed second chapter. Europe gets it first in 2026, and who knows, maybe the rest of the world will see it… eventually.
