Camera bags are a dime a dozen – probably twice as many as the number of cameras in the market. Actually, we don’t know the real figure. All we know is there boat loads of them out there which means shortage of options is never going to happen, unless you are looking for one that guards your camera against the elements, offers protection from the inevitable bumps and knocks, and still provide swift access to it. If so, we are pretty sure Miggo’s latest product, Agua camera bag, will be right up your alley. It’s part holster, part camera bag, that is built to IPX3 standard to protect your precious shooter against even the most weather conditions. And since it is water resistant (note: not waterproof), it eliminates the need for cumbersome rain cover which, more often than not, hinders swift retrieving of the camera.
The bag is shaped to a camera pointing downwards and features a versatile strap that carries both the bag and the camera. In a way, Agua is much like a gunslinger’s holster, providing photographers, professional and amateurs alike, a fuss free, quick retrieval of the camera. In addition, the bag is designed with just one strap that covers both the camera and the bag, and in the event you only need the strap, you can simply disengage it from the bag and attach the strap directly to the camera. The bag also boasts a rigid front lens protector with soft and padded inside so you can keep the lens cap stash away in Agua’s integrated lens cover pocket.
A few other worthy mentions include quick-adjusting detached padded strap, double-layer construction, “quick draw” mode for instant shooting, fail-safe connecting buckles, and left and right-handed operation. Miggo Agua comes in three sizes: for mirrorless and small superzoom cameras (Agua 25), for larger superzoom and medium DSLRs (Agua 35), and for larger DSLRs (Agua 45). From now till end of June, you can pre-order Miggo Agua through Kickstarter for $55 and up. Pre-order will be fulfilled in November 2015.
