Morgan Motor Company. It is the go-to marque if you want the vintage motor vehicle look without having to put with the “illness” associated with actual vintage cars. You know how it is with very old cars. They are high maintenance. Anyways, we are here to discuss maintenance cost.
We are here because, the British automaker has released a Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition model to celebrate the model’s birth 70 years ago in 1950. 2020 also marks end of production of Morgan’s steel chassis introduced with the Morgan Plus 4. To commemorate this, the chassis of this 70th anniversary Plus 4 will be painted in gold to highlight the chassis’ significance in Morgan’s 111-year history.
Each Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition features individually numbered plaque, specially embroidered headrests, Aero Racing (Morgan’s in-house motorsport specialists) engine map and exhaust with black ceramic tail pipe, a special Platinum Metallic paint job and a host of exterior, interior, and convenience specification upgrades.
Only 20 numbers will be built, each priced at £60,995 including VAT (about US$79,430). There’s no need for you to worry about that high price because, all 20 units have been spoken for. In case you are interested to know, the Aero Racing mapped engine puts out 180 horses (26 more ponies over the stock) and makes the century sprint in under seven seconds.
