Motorola moto watch 100 Smartwatch

Motorola stopped dabbling in the smartwatch business some years ago. Two years ago it made a comeback with the third-generation Moto 360, made and marketed by eBuyNow. We thought it was the first and last of it from eBuyNow, but nope. It is very much alive and kicking in 2021 and with the new moto watch 100.

Here’s the thing with the new moto watch 100. If you have loved Moto 360 for Wear OS, then you will be sorely disappointed with the new Motorola moto watch 100 because eBuyNow has decided to ditch Wear OS in favor of a proprietary Moto Watch OS.

But the good news is, it is super affordable now. The new moto watch 100 costs just US$99.99.

The new moto watch retains the round watch case design and it is available in just one size: 42 mm. It has a 1.3-inch color display packed in an aluminum case that is water-resistant to 5ATM (50 meters or 164 feet). The case has a quick release system to accommodate quick release watch straps of 20 mm wide.

Other functions and features are pretty much what you will find in today’s smartwatches. These include heart rate and blood-oxygen level monitoring, sleep tracking, multiple sport modes, active/fitness goals, built-in accelerometer and gyroscope, GPS (GPS, GLONASS, Beidou), and Bluetooth 5.0 LE.

What is powering the watch is unknown. The memory and storage capacity is also not revealed. However, we do know that it has a 355 mAh battery that supports quick charging that can take the battery from 0-100% in just 60 minutes.

Motorola moto watch 100 Smartwatch is available to order now for the aforementioned US$99.99 and in choice of Glacier Silver or Phantom Black. The watch will start shipping by December 10.
