If you are not an Asian, you probably will not know a Hong Kong sci-fi drama called My Lover from the Planet Meow (2016, TVB). We shan’t dig into the drama’s premise. All you need to know is, in the show, cats return to another planet after they die. Quirky. So cats are pretty much aliens. Whether or not it is true is not important, but I know MYZOO Spaceship Cat Beds will certainly make your feline friend feels right at home, if the fictional is not fictional. Anyways, MYZOO Spaceship Cat Beds are unique cat rest quarters that mimic the look and feel of a, well, spaceship.
Depending on the models, it has either one or two acrylic bubbles, so kitty can enjoy the expansive view as he/she chill out in the pod. There are strategically placed holes to ensure air circulation because, obviously, this being not a real spaceship, does not have air supply and a large opening is present to allow for ingress and egress. The first model is called Gamma and it is designed to be affixed to the wall and the second model, called Alpha, is a floor-standing model. Gamma has a single acrylic bubble, while Alpha has two – one on each end.
There’s a third model called Beta, which is essentially a floor standing/tabletop variant of the Gamma, has a single acrylic bubble up top. Beta is not listed on Amazon, though (but its on MYZOO website going for NT$3,000 or around US$97), but it is showed on MYZOO’s website. Each model is offered in a choice of birch or walnut finish. If you are interested, you can pick up MYZOO Spaceship Alpha and Gamma from Amazon for $135 and $170, respectively.
While you are at it, you may be keen in the Outerspace ($50), which is a pet bowl a shape of a landed flying saucer, to complete the space setup. If you are in Taiwan, where MYZOO is based in, you may want to acquire it directly from MYZOO website where you will find the Alpha and Gamma going for a tad cheaper at NT$3,490/3,850 (around US$113/125) and NT$3,000/3,450 (about US$97/112).
