Netflix Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Series

That’s right, folks. Thanks to Netflix, Cowboy Bebop live-action series is happening. Cowboy Bebop, which is set to drop this Fall, is co-produced by Netflix and Tomorrow Studios.

During the Geeked Week Day 2, Netflix offered the first look at the cast and introduces us to composer Yoko Kanno whose original works will be featured in the live-action series.

Here’s what the Cowboy Bebop is about:

“A ragtag crew of bounty hunters chases down the galaxy’s most dangerous criminals. They’ll save the world … for the right price. A live-action series.”

The live-action representation of Spike is played by John Cho (Harold & Kumar, Star Trek), while the role of Faye Valentine and Jet Black is assumed by Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World, American Odyssey) and Mustafa Shakir (Luke Cage), respectively.

There is another main character who did not appear in the Behind The Scene clip on Geeked Week is Vicious, played by Alex Hassell. The live-action series is based on the anime series originally crated by Sunrise Studios and directed by Shinichiro Watanbe.

It is worthy to note that the original anime was 26 episodes, but the live-action series will have 10 episodes (just the way I like it). I am not a fan the Day of our Lives kind of series (source: Polygon).
