seriously, i didn’t think this would happen – a Juke crossed with a GT-R? seriously? it is happening right now as we speak and this one-off vehicle will be known as the JUKE-R. i have always love JUKE but this is more than i expected, to a point of feeling exhilarated. currently under development by motorsports outfit RML with input from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe (or NTC-E), the JUKE-R’s flared wheel arches, low-slung ride height, revised front and rear bumpers, and an unique split rear spoiler – all point towards that this isn’t your regular JUKE.

cosmetic aside, it is what’s going under the hood that will make all motoring enthusiasts jaw drop: the JUKE-R will receive major livery from the GT-R that includes the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine mated to the GT-R’s six-speed transaxle, modified GT-R 4WD drive train and prop shaft, and the humongous 20-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels that promised to fill each wheel arch. the GT-R propagation continues into its interior, starting with a dash makeover to accommodate the gauges, dials and 7-inch customizable LCD display, and a pair of racing seats with five-point harnesses ensure the driver and front passenger are safely secured to their seats when the monster power kicks in.

completing the interior is a roll cage that offers FIA safety standards, and provides the much needed rigidity for its new found performance. simply thrilling. really. however, happiness is short lived and it is unfortunate that the Juke-R will be an one-off concept to “test the public’s reaction to a seriously sporty Juke.” only two Juke-Rs will be created – one each for left and right hand drive model. blast past the jump for some teaser images and also a video introduction by RML.
