Traditionally, racing cars have always been as a show of automobiles’ technologically advancements. Think Subaru WRX, Ford Focus and Mitsubishi Evolution series, and you know what we mean. As the world progresses into mainstream electric vehicle, the strategy remains the same.

Vauxhall’s sister brand, Opel, is lifting a page from this traditional strategy too, starting with the Opel Corsa-e Rally Car. This rally car is based on Vauxhall Corsa-e, which is now available to order.
The Opel Corsa-e Rally Car debuted at last years’ IAA Frankfurt International Motor Show and it is destined to compete at the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup – the first brand cup for electric cars in the world that builds on the success of ADAC Opel Rallye Cup – in summer 2020. All told, 15 of Opel’s pioneering electric cars are planned for the race series.
If you have a race team, you can actually procure the 100 kW (130 HP), 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) Opel Corsa-e Rally Car from Opel Motorsport for “less than” €50,000 (£46,000, or about US$60,600).
For non-racing purposes, you can look to the Vauxhall Corsa-e which starts at £26,490 (about US$34,900) instead.
