Fans of Gundam can look forward to a Gundam-themed Oppo smartphone. According to a tweet by another famous mobile news leaker, Universe Ice (@UniverseIce), Oppo has partnered with the maker of Mobile Suit Gundam, Bandai Namco, to launch “a new smartphone.” However, nothing is known about this about this yet-to-be-announced phone beyond the news that it is coming and a couple of rendered images of the supposed new smartphone.
From the images, we can expect a Gundam theme on the software end, while the back of the phone has an image of the granddaddy of mecha anime in gray scale. It is expected to be new smartphone, as we noted. A Chinese blog (Zing Gadget), it looks like the standard edition Reno and thus, they thought it could be a Gundam edition Oppo Reno. Then again, Universe Ice specifically mentioned “a new smartphone,” and so it could be just a new model. Since the leak is out, I think we won’t have to wait too long to find out more this phone.
