Orbitkey Daily Tote

With the changing needs and stuff that we own, traditional bags are finding it hard to cope. Well, technically any bag can still serve well, but if you prefer not to spend time digging into the bag’s abyss to find a bunch of keys, shades, lip balm, or become an exhibitionist of sort to fellow commuters when you just want to retrieve the laptop on the train, then you need a bag designed with purpose, like the new Orbitkey Daily Tote. Fresh from its successful Kickstarter campaign, this versatile bag is now available to purchase on Orbitkey’s website.

Orbitkey Daily Tote

This bag has so many details that most users want nailed that it is hard not to be impressed. For starters, it has a smart laptop compartment. This dedicated, padded laptop section has its own zipper, allowing access to your laptop even when the tote is zipped shut. This means you do not need to show the world around you what you have got inside just because you need to retrieve the laptop. This also separates the tech from other items that could potentially scratch it, or god forbid, spills. Speaking of spills, the bag also boasts a dedicated pocket for a water bottle.

The Daily Tote has a versatile open and closed mode, featuring a secure, zippered top for peace of mind during your commute, while opening wide for access to everything that’s inside. Also on the inside is something I have been dreaming of: dual-zipper mesh pockets. These pockets are no ordinary pockets. They are designed for go-to items in mind. They are deep enough for EDCs like sunglasses and keys without becoming an abyss. These pockets rock two brilliant features. First, you can choose to zip each pocket individually or all together, and second, which is my favorite: it is located near the top, which further makes access easier.

On the outside, it has a magnetic quick-access pocket, a secure hidden back pocket, a luggage pass-through, and a thoughtfully positioned custom hardware for hooking accessories like keys, earbuds, or sanitizer to enable quick access without getting in the way. Thanks to its structured, topple-free base, the bag stands on its own. It is also crafted from weather-resistant materials.

If you want to go a step further, Orbitkey also has some accessories to customize to your usage. There is the optional essentials bag insert that lets you keep essentials organized and easily transferable between bags, and the Essentials Pouch Trio, a set of 3 minimalist pouches for versatile organization, letting you group your items in 3 pouches, allowing you to grab what you need and leave the rest behind. And then there’s the padded crossbody strap that will turn the bag into a crossbody bag.

The new Orbitkey Daily Tote is available in a choice of colors, and in 16 L and 21 L for US$119 and US$139, respectively.
