Smoll, a Taiwan-based company, is back with PlayBloc on Kickstarter. PlayBloc is a veg-tanned leather accessory crafted using a unique origami technique without the use of chemicals, glue, or stitches. So how well does this technique work out? Well, as a user of the Smoll Origami Leather Wallet which also uses the same technique, I can safely say it works pretty damn well. Now that I think of it, I should do a long-term review of the wallet.
Anyhoo, this minimalist cuboid bag is designed to be a timeless, versatile accessory that suits any occasion—from work to leisure. It’s made from premium Italian leather that develops a unique patina over time, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. PlayBloc is lightweight, available in two sizes, and is spacious enough to carry all your daily essentials.
Its sustainable, handcrafted design ensures it fits seamlessly with any style, making it the perfect travel companion. I saw this bag somewhere but forgot to note it down. Thankfully, a PR team reached out to us to feature it and we immediately came up with this post. The PlayBloc is unisex, btw, which I think is one of its beauties.
If you are keen, you may learn more about this cool leather sling bag over on Kickstarter where it is currently being crowdfunded. A pledge of US$169 or more will secure you a Petite PlayBloc which is the cuboid-shaped bag. There are other models available on the campaign page but I thought Petite is the coolest of them all. Go check it out.
