If design matters to you and you are also in the market for a pair of true wireless sound earbuds, then may we interest you in the new Porsche Design Sport TWS Earphones PDT40?
TBH, there are a lot of options out there. Like seriously a lot. And the Porsche Design Sport TWS Earphones PDT40 is just another pair of TWS. But if brand and design weigh heavily on your criteria for a pair of earbuds, the PDT40 might be it.
For this pair of earbuds, Porsche Design has gone with a dual finish design: a high gloss layer and softer matte rubberized layers. The earbud is divided into two sides: an ergonomic inside for a comfortable fit and a “constructed” outside.
The centered PD icon on each earbud is of soft rubberized material and an area where the touch controls are. Touching and tapping the earbuds lets you control the music, switch the ANC off to ANC on to Ambient Sound, activate voice assistant, and manage calls (i.e. taking, rejecting, and ending calls).
Strangely, though, music control does not appear to include volume adjustment. Am I missing something here?
Other spec-sheet details and features include 10 mm neodymium drivers, active noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.2, supports popular voice assistants, dua and water-resistant to IP55, in-ear detection, dual-mic with noise canceling algorithm for call clarity, Awareness Mode for hearing the world around you when needed, and up to 6 hours of earbuds battery life, with additional 21 hours from the wireless charging-enabled and if we may add, super cool, charging case. Charging of the case can also be done via USB-C.
Rounding up the package is a handy lanyard and of course, flexible silicone ear tips of three different sizes.
The Porsche Design Sport TWS Earphones PDT40 will only be available starting on September 30, 2022, at 11:08:00 PM for U.S. consumers. However, it can be pre-ordered now for US$210.
