Robot vacuum is a norm these days. But believe me. You won’t want to pick up just any robot cleaner. I am using one and let me tell you this: it is merely machine that sucks dirt and has wheels. It is not even remotely close to being “smart”. Then Puppyoo R6 came along and renew my hope that robot vacuum could actually be a robot vacuum.
It promised a lot of things, including 2,000 Pa of intense suction to deal with just about any debris from dust to pet hair to stubborn stains, and doing so without making a huge ding. Puppyoo claims that it has a noise level of 65 dB or less and that, btw, is equivalent to a normal conversation or laughter. Normal laughter I would imagine and definitely not one of my family’s friend’s because, his laugh is thunderous.
Other stand out features are as follows:
• Take Control of Cleaning: It can automatically detects and adjusts its cleaning method to effortlessly handle various flooring types, while remaining gentle and safe to the floor surface.
• 3-in-1 Deep Cleaning: R6 Home is a 3-in-1 robot that sweeps, vacuums and mops. It has edge-sweeping and main brushes along with ultra-fine microfiber mop pads that ensures outstanding dirt removal and liquid absorption.
• Intelligent Navigation: The LDS and vSLAM dual smart mapping and navigating system are featured, along with an array of sensors to travel across the home. It remembers more than 10 different floor plans through the smartphone app.
• Guaranteed Quality: Founded in 2012, Puppy Appliance Co., Ltd (Puppyoo) develops and sells world class, high-quality household cleaning appliances. Puppyoo has been a leader in worldwide’s vacuum cleaner sector with more than 200 technical patents.
Also, unlike typical robot vacuum, it can vacuum carpets/rugs too. When it gets onto a carpet, it automatically triggers the Carpet Boost, increasing the suction to pull dirt and debris from the carpet. Plus, it has a massive battery, rated at 6,400 man, that offers up to 4 hours of continuous vacuuming.
If anyone cares to know, R6 claims to be able to cover up 3,230 square feet of floor space. What I was really sold was the promised of smart navigation. Using a combination of Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) and vSLAM, R6 is able to learn and record your entire home and build a map, so that it knows exactly where is where.
The rest of the features are pretty rudimentary for high-end robot vacuum. You know, stuff like cleaning plan, no-go zone, and oh, there is, of course, the mopping function.
